The “3^rd International Meeting on Meteorology and Climatology of the Mediterranean” is organized by DIFA (Department of Environmental Engineering and Physics) University of Basilicata , in collaboration with Valencia, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Girona Universities and the Catalan Association of Meteorology (ACAM). The meeting that in the two previous editions, organized in Barcelona (November 2008) and Valencia (March 2010), was limited to include studies on meteorology and climatology of the Western Mediterranean regions, in this third edition opens to contributions from the whole Mediterranean area, involving the whole European scientific community, and including all meteorological and climatologic issues interesting the Mediterranean in four main topics: (1) climatology, (2) processes and applications, (3) remote and in-situ measurements and (4) numerical modelling.
